The William Wallace Monument is set in the heart of a stunning Scottish landscape, on a hill offering panoramic views of the Stirling valley. Unveiled in 1869, this monument commemorates the Scottish national hero William Wallace, known for his fight for independence in the 13th century. Its gothic design, which resembles a medieval tower, rises to a height of 67 metres and is adorned with statues and reliefs depicting key moments in Wallace's life. Visitors can climb to the top of the monument for spectacular views and learn about the history of this iconic leader through an exhibition inside.
